Method Randy Ford #3
Step 3: The grisaille. Underpainting with various, diluted with turpenoid shades of gray. This step is going to be repeated several times. The finished Grisaille needs to be as realistic as possible.

Method Randy Ford #2
Step 2: I applied a 80/20 solution of Turpenoid/gray. Ford wrote that the pencils are resistant to smearing during the wash stages but almost the entire drawing disappeared!

Colored pencil portrait of 4 cats
I'm working on a couple of commisions. One of them is a portrait of four cats. In the middle a oval shape with all the cats sitting on the grass and in the four corners seperate portraits. The quality of the photo is not so good but when this work is finished i'll place some better ones.

New works in the 6 x 6" series
I'm working on 6 new paintings in the 6 x 6" series (15 x 15 cm). The paintings are all made with oil on panel. The reason that i'm working on more paintings at the same time is that i use lots of thin layers that have to dry before i can continue. I can't fill my day with one painting...
For more information and bigger pictures, take a look at my "Painting a Day" blog.
